SEOUL, South Korea and CHICAGO, Ill. — September 8, 2026 — AIRS Medical, a global AI medical imaging company transforming MRI through deep learning, today announced the appointment of Dr. Ajit Shankaranarayanan, PhD, as Chief Product Officer (CPO).
Dr. Shankaranarayanan brings more than 30 years of experience in medical imaging, artificial intelligence, and healthcare innovation. In his new role, he will lead AIRS Medical’s global product strategy, portfolio development, and product roadmap, with a focus on identifying unmet needs across MRI and radiology and translating emerging technologies into scalable clinical solutions.

Dr. Shankaranarayanan received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and has built his career at the intersection of imaging science, technology, clinical needs, and business strategy. He has held leadership positions at GE Healthcare, HealthLytix, and Subtle Medical, where he helped develop and commercialize technologies designed to advance medical imaging and improve clinical care.
His expertise spans MRI, AI-powered image enhancement, quantitative imaging, and clinical workflow solutions. He also brings extensive experience building and scaling product portfolios, developing global commercialization strategies, establishing strategic partnerships, and translating emerging technologies into solutions for clinical practice.
