What’s New

This release focuses on stability, reliability, and consistency improvements across SwiftMR’s core processing and configuration systems.


Improvements

Auto Cutting — Multi-Axis Reliability

Resolved an issue where requesting multiple scan axes for the same vessel (e.g., Left/Right Carotid with simultaneous RL and FH axes) could result in a missing axis or image corruption on the uncropped axis. Multi-axis Auto Cutting requests now consistently produce all requested axes with correct output.


Improved Stability for Settings Retrieval

  • The settings cache duration has been extended, reducing the frequency of requests to the Setting Server and improving overall responsiveness.
  • The service now continues to operate using cached settings if the Setting Server is temporarily unavailable, preventing unnecessary interruptions during brief connectivity issues.
  • Internal improvements to the cache lookup logic improve consistency and reduce the likelihood of unexpected behavior.

More Accurate Settings per Device

Settings retrieval now returns only the scan items associated with currently linked devices. Previously, scan items left over from removed device links could be included in responses, which occasionally caused processing errors. This fix ensures that only valid, active device configurations are applied.


Improved Tag Filtering Consistency

Resolved inconsistencies in DICOM tag filtering between environments, ensuring more predictable and uniform behavior across all services that rely on tag-based processing.


Bug Fixes

  • Auto Cutting: Fixed an issue where requesting multiple scan axes for the same vessel simultaneously could result in one axis being missing or producing corrupted images. All requested axes are now generated correctly.

  • Settings Retrieval: Fixed an issue where scan items from previously unlinked devices were incorrectly included in settings responses, which could cause processing errors downstream.

  • Tag Filtering: Resolved tag whitelist inconsistencies between environments that could lead to unpredictable processing behavior.

This release delivers significant enhancements across the SwiftMR platform, including a new automated MIP post-processing capability, enterprise Single Sign-On support, and a substantially improved viewer experience. Alongside these new features, numerous stability improvements and bug fixes ensure a more reliable and consistent workflow.


New Features:

Auto Cutting MIP Generation

SwiftMR now automatically detects and isolates target vessels from surrounding tissues in Head TOF images, producing clean MIP outputs — no manual cutting required. This streamlines post-processing workflows and reduces technologist intervention.

Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO)

SAML-based Single Sign-On is now supported, enabling hospitals to integrate SwiftMR with their existing centralized identity management systems. This simplifies user authentication and strengthens security compliance in enterprise IT environments.

Per-Series Destination AE Routing

Original and SwiftMR-processed series can now be routed to separate Destination AEs independently. This provides greater flexibility in designing DICOM workflows at the scan-item level.

Secondary Drive Support (Launcher)

The SwiftMR Launcher now supports installation and DICOM input/output directories on a secondary drive, offering more flexible storage configurations for on-premise deployments.

Diffusion Type Configuration for UDMPP

Users can now configure Diffusion Type(FA map, FA color map, iso DWI, (DTI)ADC) for User-Defined Multi-series Post-Processing (UDMPP) directly within the Setting Client, enabling more precise control over advanced post-processing workflows.


Improvements:

SwiftMR Viewer

  • Browser-native DICOM parsing reduces server dependency and improves overall viewer responsiveness.
  • New DICOM Tag Viewer allows users to inspect detailed DICOM metadata directly within the viewer.
  • Enhanced worklist columns and filters now surface per-job instance counts, Device Name, reconstructed instance counts, and error messages for faster case review and troubleshooting.
  • Improved Series Description search enables faster and more accurate case lookup.
  • Korean-language keyboard shortcut support has been added.
  • Not Supported series are now visible in the series list, giving technicians complete visibility into case coverage.
  • Improved popup messaging and smoother scroll behavior in the embedded DICOM Viewer.
  • Consistent download ordering across all viewer workflows for predictable behavior.

Image Processing

  • MIP window correction now applies consistently across the entire series for uniform brightness output.
  • Post-processing window adjustment now operates at the volume level, producing more consistent results across all slices.
  • Improved handling of single-instance series for greater stability.

Setting Client

  • The Scan Item table now clearly displays UDMPP status and store configuration at a glance.
  • The Source AE vendor dropdown has been reordered so that “Other” appears at the bottom, making common vendor selections faster.
  • UI/UX consistency has been improved across all Setting Client screens.

DCS Client

  • UDMPP-generated series are now labeled “Generated” for clearer identification.
  • Automatic synchronization reduces the need for manual user action.
  • The Supported status indicator now provides more detailed state information to aid troubleshooting.

Bug Fixes:

Viewer & DCS Client

  • Viewer file downloads now consistently deliver a .zip archive.
  • Resolved an issue where Not Supported / FAILED series incorrectly allowed selection of non-existent recon files for download.
  • Fixed duplicate counting in Device Usage statistics.
  • Group-contract hospitals now correctly display their hospital names in the Contract Usage tab.
  • Activate Key notifications with no usage data no longer display “NaN%”.

DICOM Routing & Compatibility

  • Fixed AE routing for single-instance DICOM series.
  • Corrected an issue where certain scanner vendor values were incorrectly mapped, which could affect downstream processing.

Image Processing

  • Resolved a processing failure that occurred during DTI post-processing when B0 contained multiple averages.
  • Fixed an issue where a single-instance submission could cause unexpected processing errors.

This patch release improves image output reliability by resolving a field-of-view clipping issue on Philips R11 environments and a DICOM overlay data loss issue in Post-Processing workflows.


Bug Fixes:

Image Processing Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Mobiview whole body scan images (5-station, 7-station) were incorrectly cropped at the top and bottom when processed on Philips Ambition scanners running R11 software.
  • Fixed an issue where DICOM overlay data embedded in Post-Processing (PP) images was lost after reconstruction.
